Yongkai ZHOU, Hongfeng CHAI

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2017, Volume 4, Issue 2,   Pages 127-137 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2017011

Abstract: The popularization of the mobile internet has given rise to demand for flexible and convenient payment methods. For China, it is necessary to keep pace with or even lead the trend of innovation and development in the age of mobile payment. From the perspective of systems engineering, this paper introduces research and implementation of China UnionPay’s mobile payment project. The general requirements and core engineering problems of the mobile payment project are summarized based on analyses of the characteristics and engineering difficulties of this project. Integration of innovative technologies is introduced to resolve the contradiction between ease-of-use and security. A rapid iterative development process is adopted to improve the product release efficiency as well as the users' experience. The launch of the mobile payment project also opens the window to coordinating and upgrading the whole payment industry chains.

Strategic Study of CAE 2018, Volume 20, Issue 1,   Pages 74-83 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2018.01.011

Abstract:

The rapid development of the automobile industry brings substantial environmental challenges to China. Therefore, integrated development strategies targeting both the automobile industry and emission control, although difficult, are essential. Based on a localized model, this paper analyzes the characteristics of and historical trends in China's vehicle emissions and quantifies future trends under various emission control scenarios. The research summarizes and combs the bottlenecks and main contradictions in the process of synergetic development of China's future automobile industry and environmental improvement, puts forward the roadmap for the synergetic development applicable to China, and gives corresponding development proposals and control strategies.

Robust cooperation of connected vehicle systems with eigenvalue-bounded interaction topologies in the

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2018, Volume 13, Issue 3,   Pages 354-367 doi: 10.1007/s11465-018-0486-x

Abstract:

This study presents a distributed H-infinity control method for uncertain platoons with dimensionally and structurally unknown interaction topologies provided that the associated topological eigenvalues are bounded by a predesigned range. With an inverse model to compensate for nonlinear powertrain dynamics, vehicles in a platoon are modeled by third-order uncertain systems with bounded disturbances. On the basis of the eigenvalue decomposition of topological matrices, we convert the platoon system to a norm-bounded uncertain part and a diagonally structured certain part by applying linear transformation. We then use a common Lyapunov method to design a distributed H-infinity controller. Numerically, two linear matrix inequalities corresponding to the minimum and maximum eigenvalues should be solved. The resulting controller can tolerate interaction topologies with eigenvalues located in a certain range. The proposed method can also ensure robustness performance and disturbance attenuation ability for the closed-loop platoon system. Hardware-in-the-loop tests are performed to validate the effectiveness of our method.
